Jindal Steel’s Captive Power Plants (CPP) form the energy backbone of our steelmaking operations, ensuring reliable and efficient power across the mine-to-metal value chain.
With a total captive power capacity of 2,684 MW across state-of-the-art facilities in Angul and Raigarh, our operations are designed for operational resilience, energy security, and long-term.

Responsibly
Our captive power operations integrate advanced technologies and environmental safeguards designed to improve efficiency, optimise resource use, and support responsible industrial operations.

Effluent Water Management
Treated water is recycled for operations, housekeeping, and landscaping through an Effluent Recycling System, supporting the company’s Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) commitment.

Emission Control
Eight-field double-pass ESPs, low NOx burners, and lime dosing systems help maintain emissions within regulatory limits, with SO₂ emissions controlled below 600 mg/Nm³.

Ash Handling
Pneumatic conveying systems, ash silos, cartridge filters, and water sprinklers support efficient ash handling and dust control.

By-Product Utilisation
Fly ash is supplied to cement and brick manufacturing units, supporting resource efficiency and material reuse.
